How does work?

1. Choose a city or region

You need to choose among the hundreds of places suggested for a getaway gift. Relax, because the destination can be changed when the reservation is made.

2. Choose the class of hotel you want to give

You can choose among 5 classes of hotel. Choose the level that best suits your budget:

  • Baron (2-star hotels)
  • Viscount (3-star hotels)
  • Duke (4-star hotels)
  • Grand Duke (prestige establishments)

3. Choose a getaway gift

We offer several types of packages: one night, two nights, with or without meals or activities!

4. Offer your getaway gift

You can send your getaway gift as an email, in a format that can be printed out or as a virtual game that, once completed, divulges the contents of the gift. You can even send it in a pretty gift box.

How do I use a getaway gift?

1. Go to

Enter the unique code for your getaway gift in the “I received a getaway gift” field on the homepage.

2. Choose the establishment for the stay you want

You will have to choose from the preselected establishments in order to use your getaway gift. You can modify the destination, category and hotel when making your reservation, based on the value of the stay received.

3. Fill in a reservation request

This form will tell us your needs and allow us to complete your reservation based on availability at the chosen hotel.

You will receive an email confirmation of the reservation. If the getaway gift includes a credit for meals or an activity, you will receive a prepaid credit card by mail. It will be valid wherever credit cards are accepted.

Do getaway gifts have an expiry date?

No, there is no expiry date and the value of your purchase is guaranteed for life. When the reservation is made, we will apply the value paid initially to your reservation.

Are there restrictions to consider before buying a getaway gift?

Certain hotels charge taxes or fees that are payable at the time of your stay. These fees will have to be paid directly to the hotel at that time.

Getaways are for two adults. If children or other adults are added, additional charges will apply.

Packages are not valid for public holidays or special events (examples: Thanksgiving, US Independence Day, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, etc.). If you still want to use your getaway gift on these dates, you will have to pay a supplement.

Is my personal information secure when I buy a getaway gift?

Yes. We offer our customers a secure online shopping experience. We use proven technology to keep your personal information secure. Your personal information will not be used for any purpose except to manage your reservation and your file.

What does a getaway gift include?

Each getaway gift includes the following:

  • A personalized document with a unique validation code;
  • A description of the stay;
  • Instructions for making a reservation;
  • A virtual game or gift box (if you choose this type of wrapping);
  • A prepaid card, if included in your getaway gift.
Which modes of payment are accepted?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards.

It’s a last-minute present. Can I send my getaway gift by email?

Yes. The getaway gift can be sent to you by email so that you can print it, or sent to the recipient, and will work the same way in both cases.

Can I buy more than one getaway gift at the same time?

No, but you can make purchases one after the other.

Can I send a personalized message with my purchase?

Yes. You can include a personalized message with each getaway gift, during the order process, on the shipping information page.

What dates are available for the stay?

Dates depend on the availability of the hotel chosen.

Packages are not valid for public holidays or special events (examples: Thanksgiving, US Independence Day, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, etc.). If you still want to use your getaway gift on these dates, you will have to pay a supplement.

Returns, exchanges and cancellations

1. Can I get a refund for my getaway gift?

Refunds are authorized within 30 days of purchase. All refunds must be requested by the buyer and will be made using the same method of payment used for the purchase. No refunds are possible once the stay is reserved.

2. Can I exchange a getaway gift I have received?

Yes. When you ask for a reservation, you can use the form to change the destination to where you would like to go. You can choose the region and even the hotel, if the latter isn’t already on your list of choices. No exchanges are allowed once your stay is reserved.

3. What do I do if I want to cancel a reservation?

The hotel’s cancellation policies apply. You will have to contact us at to cancel your reservation. Fees may apply.

If you don’t cancel or modify your reservation during the stipulated period, your stay will be considered to have been used and no refunds or modifications will be allowed.

If you don’t check in for the first night of your reservation but you want to use the reservation for the following night (included in your getaway gift), you have to confirm to us the change in reservation at the latest on the day of your first night so that your room reservation won’t be cancelled. No refunds will be given for any unused portion of your getaway gift.

Once the reservation is made, if you cancel or change it you have to accept the related charges. In a few rare cases certain hotels do not authorize modifications or cancellations after confirmation of the reservation, and they indicate this in their terms. You agree to follow and apply the conditions of use governing prepaid hotel reservations. To make sure, email our customer service centre.

Can I transfer my getaway gift to someone else?

Yes. The reservation has to be made in the name of the person who will be using the stay.

Can I invite other people?

Yes. Just tell us during the reservation process. Fees will be added for each extra person.
